Akira Horiuchi, MD, was awarded the Ig Nobel Prize for medical education for his self-colonoscopy research.

Yonatan Hillman, MD, joined Duluth, Minn.-based St. Luke's Gastroenterology Associates;

A toxicology report showed Thomas Chan was allegedly high on mushrooms when he fatally stabbed his father, gastroenterologist Andrew Chan, MD.
