Rachna Shroff, MD, joined Tucson-based University of Arizona Cancer Center to serve as its gastrointestinal medical oncology chief. She will also serve as its Data and Safety Monitoring Board chair and as an associate professor.

1. Dr. Shroff is a physician-scientist specializing in pancreas and biliary tract cancers.
2. She most recently served as an assistant professor at Houston-based MD Anderson Cancer Center.
3. Dr. Schroff earned her medical degree from Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University. She completed a residency at St. Louis-based Barnes-Jewish Hospital and her fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
