Jeffrey L. Ponsky will join Cleveland Clinic after stepping down as the chair of the department of surgery at University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University in June, according to a Cleveland Jewish News report.
Dr. Ponsky has served as the chair of the department of surgery since his appointment in 2005.
He has served as president of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. He has also served as chairman of the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Ponsky is a board-certified general surgeon.
