The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Stop Colon Cancer Now and Ambulatory Surgery Center Association in coordination with Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) held a briefing at Capitol Hill to discuss the importance of colorectal cancer preventative screenings, according to an ASCA new release.
Representative Dent has introduced legislation, the "Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act," to ensure Medicare patients have access to covered screenings, including screenings that involve polyp removal.
