CMS approved the GI Quality Improvement Consortium Registry as a qualified clinical data registry for the 2019 Merit-based Incentive Payment System reporting year.
Here's what you should know:
1. Gastroenterology practices reported more than 7.5 million colonoscopy cases to GIQuIC since 2010.
2. CMS approved GIQuIC as a reporting mechanism annually since 2014.
3. Individual eligible providers, groups and virtual groups can use GIQuIC in 2019.
