Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, Mass., is considering closing its endoscopy center in order make room for an expansion of the hospital emergency room department slated to begin in the fall, according to a report by the Cape Cod Times.
The Massachusetts Nurses Association is against the plan to close the center, which serves over 5,000 patients each year.
The hospital has not announced whether or not the center would be entirely removed or moved to another location.
