Boston Scientific agreed to pay Johnson & Johnson $600 million in a case settlement dating back to the 2004 Guidant acquisition, according to a report by The New York Times.

Cantel Medical's short interest saw a drop of 21,896 shares or 4.5 percent. The 52-week high of the share price is $45.84 and the 52-week low is $29.91.

EndoChoice more than doubled its workforce over the past four years. The company had 147 employees in 2011 and now has more than 400 this year, according to an AJC report.

Gilead Sciences is expecting a significant increase this year in the number of hepatitis C patients treated with its Sovaldi drug in Europe.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Shire and Endo International are competing to acquire Salix Pharmaceuticals, according to a Bidness ETC report.
