The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy has recognized 21 endoscopy units for following the society's guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing and infection control, according to an ASGE news release (pdf).
The program, which has recognized 358 endoscopy units to date, includes an educational course reviewing related guidelines.
The units named in the release are:
- Baylor All Saints Hospital Endoscopy Unit in Fort Worth, Texas.
- Ben Taub General Hospital GI Endoscopy Unit in Houston.
- Billings Clinic (Gastroenterology) in Billings, Mont.
- Centro Endoscopico HIMA San Pablo Fajardo in Puerto Rico.
- Charlton Memorial Endoscopy Unit in Fall River, Mass.
- Gastroenterology Associates of Central VA in Lynchburg, Va.
- Jacksonville Veterans Outpatient Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.
- Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Ambulatory Surgery Center, both Main Campus and Sprting Campus, in Houston.
- LBJ GI Endoscopy Unit in Houston.
