The American Gastroenterological Association has expressed support of the transparency efforts of the Sunshine Act, or Open Payments program, but is advocating for a number of changes.
The AGA and Alliance for Specialty Medicine wrote CMS a letter calling for significant revisions to the registration and dispute processes, in order to provide physicians against the publication of disputed data.
The AGA is also calling for simplified registration process.
CMS will publish Open Payments program data on Sept. 30.
