Theranos voids 2 years of data; corrects blood results — 5 things to know

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Theranos delivered physicians and patients tens of thousands corrected blood test results, according to Bloomberg.

Here are five things to know:

1. These corrections dismissed two years of the company's devices' data.

2. Theranos reported it voided test results from 2014 and 2015.

3. In an email, company spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan wrote Theranos has taken "comprehensive corrective measures to address the issues CMS raised in their observations."

4. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Francisco and health regulators have investigated the efficacy of Theranos technology.

5. Theranos claims its technology can run many diagnostic tests with only a few drops of blood.
