Medpage Today released a survey offering insights into the best and worst aspects of healthcare.

Health Media surveyed more than 20,000 providers to gather survey data, and 7,753 provided salary data. Survey Design & Analysis analyzed and reported the data

Here are six things physicians identified as the best aspects of healthcare:

1. Caring for people: 80 percent
2. The science/interesting problems to solve: 48 percent
3. Income/lifestyle: 34 percent
4. Colleagues/collaboration: 27 percent
5. Ability to work anywhere: 26 percent
6. Respect from others/standing in community: 25 percent

Here are seven things physicians identified as the worst aspects of healthcare:

1. Recordkeeping: 53 percent
2. Burnout: 50 percent
3. Government intervention/regulation: 46 percent
4. Work-life balance: 46 percent
5. Defensive medicine: 38 percent
6. Difficult patients: 33 percent
7. Workplace violence: 6 percent
