Diane Youd, RN, nurse manager of Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital's SurgEase ambulatory surgery center has been honored with the hospital's 2014 Nurse Leader of the Year Award, according to a report from The Bridgeport News.
Ms. Youd has been at the surgery center since 1990 and assumed the role of nurse manager in 2005.
The award was presented as part of a larger series of events the hospital and ASC held to celebrate their nurses for nursing week in May, according to the report.
