Here are six of the biggest frustrations that physicians face, according to Physicians Practice's 2015 Great American Physician Survey.
• Too much third-party interference — 39.9 percent
• Declining ability to practice independently — 13.8 percent
• The stress is too high — 13 percent
• The compensation is not high enough — 9.3 percent
• The hours are too long — 7 percent
• It is simply not as personally/professionally rewarding as I thought it would be — 6.5 percent
The survey includes responses from 1,001 physicians.
