Piqua, Ohio-based Valley Regional Surgery Center was one of several businesses evacuated April 23 after a nearby gas leak, a representative for the facility confirmed.
Three details:
1. The gas leak occurred in the early afternoon after construction crews working at a facility owned by Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Care hit a high-pressure natural gas line, according to the Piqua Daily Call. No injuries were reported.
2. Along with Valley Regional Surgery Center, fire officials evacuated Dayton-based Premier Health's Piqua campus, Buckeye Insurance and government offices as a precaution.
3. Valley Regional Surgery Center reopened April 24.
