Saratoga-based New York Eye Surgical Center's Amjad Hammad, MD, has performed the center's first vitreo-retinal surgery, according to a report from The Saratogian.
Dr. Hammad has been practicing eye care for nearly 20 years. He specializes in disorders of the retina.
The center was opened in November 2013 and includes three other practicing ophthalmic surgeons, including CEO David Westfall, MD; Mark Hite, MD; and Steve Solomon, MD.
