Tommy Campbell, MD, was named president of the Memphis Medical Society for 2016, according to the Memphis Business Journal.
Here are five highlights:
1. Dr. Campbell will replace outgoing president O. Lee Berkenstock, MD, officially on Sat., Jan. 30.
2. Dr. Campbell is an internist with Consolidated Medical Practices of Memphis.
3. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi at Jackson and completed his residency in internal medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
4. Dr. Campbell has served as a delegate to the Tennessee Medical Association since 2010.
5. In addition to Dr. Campbell, the following are other newly-elected officials and board members:

- Autry Parker, MD, vice president
- Andrew Watson, MD, secretary
