West Seneca, N.Y.-based Center for Ambulatory Surgery filed an application to transfer interest to a new owner.
What you should know:
1. The ASC plans to sell 101 membership units to Asher Weiner, MD, for $2,600 per unit, constituting 5.39 percent of all company membership interests.
2. Immediately after that transaction is complete, Ravinder Chopra plans to gift 2.67 percent interest to his spouse, as well as .26 percent to each of his two sons.
3. After the gift transfers, Ravinder Chopra will own 74.24 percent interest, Mohini Copra will own 5.34 percent interest, and Raman and Rajiv Chopra will each own .53 percent interest.
4. The transfer is under review by the New York State Department of Health.
