Montana is the best state to practice medicine, according to a new WalletHub ranking.
WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across two dimensions: "opportunity and competition” and "medical environment." The rankings were based on analysis of 18 metrics, which were each graded on a 100-point scale.
The 10 top states for physicians:

3. Idaho
4. Minnesota
5. Iowa

7. Kansas
8. Nebraska
9. Mississippi
10. North Dakota
