Madera, Calif.-based Valley Children's Healthcare opened a 40,000-square-foot outpatient clinic in Modesto, Calif., The Modesto Bee reports.
What you should know:
1. Valley Children's invested $33 million to replace a smaller clinic in Modesto. The smaller clinic saw about 12,000 patients.
2. Valley Children's expects to see 27,500 patients annually at the new clinic by 2030.
3. The clinic has pediatric cardiologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, hematologists, neurologists and orthopedic surgeons on staff, among others.
4. The center has several kid-friendly features like the interactive George's Treehouse playground and a statue of George the giraffe, Valley Children's Healthcare’s mascot.
