Public Comment Period on Plan for New NY Hospital and Surgery Center in Buffalo Ends March 23

The public comment period about a plan to relocate a Buffalo, N.Y., hospital and build a new $200 million facility, ambulatory care and surgery center in another area of Buffalo ends March 23, according to Buffalo Business First report.

Kaleida Health wants to relocate its Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo on Bryant Street and construct the new facility for it on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus on Main Street.

Kaleida indicated the project has primarily received support from the community, according to the report. At a public comment session hosted by the City of Buffalo's Planning Board in late February, only a single speaker expressed concern about the plan, according to an earlier WBFO report.
