Physicians Realty Trust acquires Baylor Surgicare at Mansfield, Eye Center of Southern Indiana

Self-managed healthcare real estate company Physicians Realty Trust has closed two separate acquisitions totaling $20.7 million during the first week of September.

The company acquired the 15,662-square-foot Baylor Surgicare at Mansfield (Texas). The surgery center is a joint venture between United Surgical Partners International, 20 physicians and Baylor Scott & White Healthcare System. The total purchase price was $8.5 million.

Physicians Realty Trust also acquired the Eye Center of Southern Indiana in Bloomington. The 32,096-square-foot medical office building is 100 percent occupied by the eye center. The total purchase price was $12.2 million. The eye center entered into a new 15-year absolute net lease.

Physicians Realty Trust has an additional $180 million in pending acquisitions, including a medical office building and outpatient care center in Michigan and an ambulatory surgery center and MOB in Florida.
