Palos Heights, Ill.-based Palos Health and Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine are cutting the ribbon on Palos Health South Campus in Orland Park, Ill., Patch reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. The facility will offer laboratory and imaging services and will feature an outpatient surgical center, a cancer care center and several other outpatient clinics.
2. The health systems began constructing the center in September 2016.
3. Loyola has a specialty and primary care clinic presence in the facility. Loyola's facility features 47 exam rooms, two procedure rooms and an X-ray suite. More than 40 physicians will see patients at the facility.
4. Palos Health President and CEO Terrence Moisan, MD, said, "We strongly believe that the future in healthcare delivery is to render care in advanced outpatient settings where more than 90 percent of healthcare needs can be efficiently addressed. In recent years, we have expanded services available at our South Campus through the growth of Palos Medical Group, the addition of Palos Imaging and Diagnostics, as well as other services traditionally offered in a hospital setting."
