Ohio State University seeks board approval for outpatient center — 4 insights

Columbus-based The Ohio State University's board of trustees will soon meet to debate a bevy of healthcare-related projects, Columbus Business First reports.

Here's what you should know:

1. The health system seeks to build a 395,000-square-foot ambulatory facility on Ohio State's west campus.

2. The facility would include outpatient operating rooms, an endoscopy unit, urgent care, a preanesthesia center and an outpatient diagnostic imaging center.

3. Construction would be expected to span from September 2020 to December 2022.

4. The health system would pay for the development through auxiliary funds.
