A medical office building under development in Mount Vernon, Ill., by St. Mary's Good Samaritan includes a new surgery center, according to a report from the organization.
Ground was broken on the MOB at the same ceremony celebrating the placing of the final steel beam for a new Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.
The 141,000-square foot MOB, which is being built adjacent to the new hospital, will include the surgery center, physician offices and outpatient diagnostic services.
The MOB is a partnership between Good Samaritan and Frauenshuh Health Care Solutions. Completion of the facility is targeted for late 2012, according to the report.
