Laser Spine Institute continues its expansion into the Midwest with a new surgery center in Cincinnati. Here are five things to know about the new ASC and its parent company.
1. Laser Spine Institute opened the 36,000-square-foot surgery center in Cincinnati. Neurosurgeon Thomas Francavilla, MD, FAANS, will lead the new location.
2. "Cincinnati is an area where we identified a tremendous need for minimally invasive options for neck and back pain, and we look forward to introducing the city to our patient-centric approach," said Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute. "We're also thrilled to have Dr. Francavilla, a neurosurgeon recognized for his dual focus on patient experience and surgical outcomes, serving our patients."
3. The new ASC is estimated to have a $33 million economic impact on the local economy. The facility has three operating rooms, 10 clinical exam rooms and a diagnostic imaging suite.
4. The opening of the Cincinnati ASC comes less than a month after Laser Spine Institute opened its Creve Coeur, Mo., surgery center.
5. Laser Spine Institute now has seven ASCs located across the country.
