Matoon, Ill.-based Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is seeking Charleston (Ill.) City Council approval for its 18,000-square-foot outpatient surgery center, the Journal Gazette-Times Courier reports.
What you should know:
1. The surgery center would have four surgical suites.
2. If approved, developers would break ground in March with an envisioned 2020 opening.
3. The center will focus on orthopedics, but other Sarah Bush Lincoln surgeons will perform outpatient procedures there.
4. The Corridor Review Committee previously approved the plan in a 5-0 vote.
