Highland District Hospital's $23M expansion includes outpatient orthopedic & sports medicine clinic — 4 insights

Hillsboro, Ohio-based Highland District Hospital is planning a $23 million multiphase expansion, including the development of an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic, the Times Gazette reports.

1. The hospital will add more than 39,000 square feet of new features and renovate an existing space. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2020.

2. is The expansion includes an outpatient sports medicine and orthopedic clinic, inpatient rooms, an outpatient rehabilitation site, a cancer care unit and an expanded and remodeled surgery unit, among others.

3. This is the hospital's sixth expansion since opening in 1962.
