Denver Health's $160M outpatient medical center tops out — 3 insights

Developers placed the last beam on Denver Health's 293,000-square-foot Outpatient Medical Center, Colorado Real Estate Journal reports.

What you should know:

1. Denver Health expects to open the building in 2020.

2. The seven-story building will condense the hospital's outpatient services. The building will feature a surgery center, expanded pharmacy operations, and lab and radiology services.

3. Denver Health is building the facility through a public-private initiative. Denver voters approved a $75 million tax package to help cover the building's $160 million price tag.

Denver Health CEO Robin Wittenstein said, "As the city grows, the demand for quality healthcare grows with it."
