Cleveland Clinic Florida plans to expand its Weston location and build a new clinic and an ambulatory surgery center in Coral Springs.
Here are five things to know:
1. The expansion will cost $302 million.
2. Weston's campus will see the addition of three operating suites and inpatient hospital beds. The emergency department and imaging and laboratory facilities will also be expanded.
3. Cleveland Clinic will build a new 65,000 square foot facility in Coral Springs, which will hold 40 exam rooms and an ambulatory surgery center.
4. The new clinic will have procedure rooms and a family health center.
5. The Coral Springs facility will be Cleveland Clinic Florida's seventh location across Broward and Palm Beach counties, with the main campus in Weston.
"This expansion will allow us to better meet the increasing demand for specialized services, more convenient access and expanded inpatient capacity for the region," said Toby Cosgrove, MD, president and CEO, Cleveland Clinic.
