Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health will soon open a surgery center on Fleming Island, Fla., Clay Today reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. The surgery center is 17,000 square feet.
2. The center cost Baptist Health $11.7 million.
3. Baptist is opening the surgery center to expand its presence in Clay County. Baptist has a standalone medical campus, which opened in 2013.
4. Baptist Health expects to open the surgery center in December.
5. The center has two surgical rooms and a gastroenterology-focused procedure room.
