Brentwood, Tenn.-based American Physician Partners acquired Houston-based Emergigroup Physician Associates.
Here's what you should know:
1. Emergigroup has provided services to 15 Houston Methodist facilities, including short-term acute care facilities as well as emergency care centers, for the last 18 years.
2. Emergigroup has a team of more than 150 physicians and more than 50 advanced practice clinicians.
3. "We sought a partner with the resources and track record to help us build upon our existing strong foundation to further enhance the level of care and service for our emergency department patients and their families," Emergigroup CEO Jeremy Finkelstein, MD, said.
