Amarillo (Texas) VA Health Care System will build a $12.3 million outpatient clinic on Lubbock-based Texas Tech University's campus, EverythingLubbock.com reports.

2. The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs awarded the Amarillo VA the contract.

Amarillo VA Health Care System Director Mike Kiefer said, "This project shows the commitment the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs has for our veterans in the Lubbock area and the outstanding support by our community partners to provide a fully modern clinic to meet the needs of veteran healthcare in the Hub City."
