As medical office building transactions heat up in 2024, here are eight transactions involving 13 buildings in the Eastern half of the U.S. to know:
1. Six medical office buildings totaling 145,308 square feet in Florence, Fort Mitchell, Crittenden, Walton, Alexandria and Butler, Ky. sold.
2. New York City-based NYU Langone paid $33 million for a property in West Palm Beach, Fla., where it plans to build a medical office building.
3. Kings Row Medical Properties acquired a medical building with two ASCs in Bridgewater, N.J., for $10.5 million.
4. Healthcare real estate firm Flagship Healthcare Properties acquired a medical office building in Mechanicsville, Va., for $5.4 million.
5. The University of Vermont Medical Center submitted a certificate of need with intention to purchase a Colchester-based medical campus owned by Covenant Health for $17.3 million.
6. The 48,000-square-foot Wellington (Fla.) Medical Arts Pavilion sold to Rendina Healthcare Real Estate and Artemis Real Estate Partners for $18.3 million.
7. A medical office building in Jackson, N.J., was acquired by real estate firm Horizon Equities for $24 million.
8. The West Palm Medical Plaza medical office building in West Palm Beach, Fla., sold for $8.3 million.
