The physicians of Connecticut-based Orthopedic Specialty Group have filed plans with the Town Plan and Zoning Commission in Fairfield, Conn., to purchase two clothing stores and convert the space into an ambulatory surgery center. The facility would include the surgery center, a clinical department, radiology department, urgent care center, physical therapy department and administrative offices.
Lake Health has opened its Bariatric Surgery Center in Cleveland. Aviv Ben-Meir, MD, will lead the bariatric surgery center team.
Liberty Park (Ala.) Breast and Body Reconstruction has received a certificate of need for a $300,000 ambulatory surgery center.
The Center for Spine & Pain Medicine, an established Tennessee medical practice, has filed a certificate of need for a $514,557 ambulatory surgical treatment center in Chattanooga, Tenn. The proposed facility would have one operating room.
Lasik Vision Institute has opened an eye surgery center in Farmington, Conn., and its Nashville LASIK Eye Surgery Center in Brentwood, Tenn.
Kaiser Permanente has opened a multispecialty clinic in Largo, Md., which includes an ambulatory surgery center. Kaiser has also opened a multispecialty facility in Lone Tree, Colo., which includes an ambulatory surgery center.
A group of physicians and Kaleida Health have filed plans with the New York State Health Department for the construction of a $2.65 million ambulatory surgery center in Orchard Park. The physician group will own 49.5 percent of the center. The Kaleida subsidiary KH Venture Services will own 50.5 percent of the center.
The first of two phases has been nearly completed for the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
