St. Jude Medical plans to more than double its Plymouth, Minn. location with a 3-floor, 275,000 square foot addition, according to a news release.
The company will also consolidate its cardiovascular unit to the new Plymouth campus from locations in Minnetonka and Maple Grove, Minn. Frank J. Callaghan, president of the St. Jude Medical cardiovascular division, said the company expects much of its future growth to come from cardiovascular devices.
The current building includes 205,000 square feet of space located on 26 acres of land. The company expects to start construction as early as next month and complete the addition sometime in 2013.
