OrthoSensor Receives Patents for Ultrasonic Alignment and Post-Operative Pain Devices

The U.S. Patent Office granted OrthoSensor patents for its intelligent orthopedic surgical platform related to ultrasonic alignment and post-operative pain inhibition, according to a news release.

The two low-cost, single-use devices are designed to enhance accuracy in ultrasonic alignment and inhibit post-operative pain for joint replacement procedures. Intelligent orthopedics uses innovations in sensors, microelectronics and wireless communications to improve healthcare outcomes and reduce the cost of treating musculoskeletal disease.
