McKesson has announced the launch of two new physician practice solutions — McKesson Practice Choice and McKesson Practice Care, according to McKesson Practice Choice news release and McKesson Practice Care news release.
McKesson Practice Choice is a Web-based EHR and practice management system. It is certified for Stage 1 Meaningful Use, and offers clinical, financial and operational tools on a single database, according to the release.
McKesson Practice Care is a service model that builds on EHR technology investment to provide a range of services, including online patient collection tools, automated patient reminder services, medical and office supplies and practice-based quality improvement reports, according to the release. McKesson said a key feature of McKesson Practice Care is patient-centered medical home consulting through TransforMED, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Academy of Family Physicians .
