Wolters Kluwer Health has announced Essentia Health, based in Duluth, Minn., has selected its ProVation MD software for gastroenterology and pulmonary services, according to a news release.
ProVation MD, which is available for a full range of specialties, replaces dictation and transcription and allows physicians to document procedures at the point of care.
The deployment is the 1,000th implementation of the documentation and coding solution, according to the release.
"Achieving this significant milestone of 1,000 customers live with ProVation MD affirms the superiority of ProVation software in helping healthcare organizations raise the bar on quality while driving down costs," said Mike Haldane, vice president and general manager, clinical documentation, for Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions, in the release. "We are pleased to have Essentia Health join our growing customer base and share in this notable achievement."
Essentia Health is an integrated health system covering communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Idaho. The organization encompasses 750 physicians and 11,500.
ProVation Medical was implemented within Essentia's St. Mary's system, including the 343-bed St. Mary's Medical Center and St. Mary's Duluth Clinic in Duluth, and the 25-bed St. Mary's Hospital in Superior, Wis.
