Carestream Health has announced it has received FDA clearance for the CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution mobile X-ray system, according to a news release.
"The DRX-Revolution satisfies specific needs voiced by dozens of radiology professionals who were involved in the product’s design process," said Diana Nole, president, digital medical solutions for Carestream Health, in the release. "It features an easy-to-position tube head and a compact design that provides improved visibility and greater safety when moving this portable digital X-ray system. Healthcare providers are eager to deploy this fully-featured X-ray room on wheels to help enhance care for seriously ill or injured patients."
Other features of the DRX-Revolution include a 32kW generator, a wireless DRX detector, software that enables the radiographer to align the tube with a grid and a fully automatic collapsible column.
Carestream Health is based in Rochester, N.Y.
