ASC Supply Chain Cost Savings Initiatives: 8 Statistics

Here are eight statistics on how ambulatory surgery center leaders plan to gain supply chain cost savings, according to a 2011 supply chain survey from Provista.

Of the ASC administrators asked what supply chain initiatives they would pursue in the next 12 months:
•    34 percent plan to standardize products used in their center
•    24 percent plan to evaluate their GPO
•    19 percent plan to implement an order management system
•    6 percent plan to change or join a GPO
•    6 percent plan to change distributors
•    3 percent plan to do something else
•    2 percent plan to hire a consultant
•    27 percent plan none of the above
