50% of ASCs Re-examining Expenses in the Wake of Sequestration

Ambulatory surgery center leaders list declining reimbursement, rising operational costs and an increased amount of regulations as their top concerns, according to a recent Provista survey.

The survey found that as surgery centers feel the effects of sequestration, more than 50 percent of ASC leaders intend to re-examine their expenses.

While ASCs face a number of challenges, 72 percent of surgery center leader respondents are confident that their centers will be able to adapt to the changes in healthcare.

Provista, based in Irving, Texas, is a supply chain improvement company.
