Two-Thirds of Illinois Surgery Centers Inspected Cited for Infection Control Problems

The Illinois Department of Public Health has reported that two-thirds of same-day surgery centers in the state inspected during the past year received citations for infection control problems, according to a report on NECN.com.

 

The problems which led to citations have all been corrected.

Not all surgery centers in the state have been inspected under a new, tougher process, according to the report.
