Triclosan-Impregnated Sutures Do Not Decrease SSI Risk

An assessment of published and unpublished randomized controlled trials suggest triclosan-impregnated suture did not significantly reduce surgical site infections rates or wound breakdown rates, according to a study published in the Annals of Surgery.
