The top 20 jobs people don't want to quit — 5 are in nursing

Nurses are among the least likely workers to consider changing careers, according to an Indeed Hiring Lab analysis.

Indeed assessed resume data to calculate the percentage of clicks for positions outside of users' current fields. The study evaluated the top 300 job titles of people holding at least a bachelor's degree.

Here are the top 20 jobs held by workers least likely to consider a career switch and their career switch search rate.

Java developer: 8 percent

Nurse practitioner: 19 percent

Registered nurse: 23 percent

Network engineer: 25 percent

Charge nurse: 25 percent

Software engineer: 27 percent

Software developer: 28 percent

Licensed practical nurse: 29 percent

Mechanical engineer: 33 percent

Database administrator: 35 percent

Web developer: 35 percent

Design engineer: 37 percent

Speech-language pathologist: 37 percent

Physical therapist: 38 percent

Pharmacist: 38 percent

Electrical engineer: 40 percent

Physician assistant: 41 percent

Occupational therapist: 42 percent

Nurse: 43 percent

Director of human resources: 43 percent
