Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, Calif., has been slapped with a 90-day notice and faces a possible lawsuit involving a pediatric patient who contracted MRSA, according to a local FOX report.
A one-month-old infant underwent surgery and contracted the infection, which allegedly spread to other members of the family. The family was also allegedly told by the hospital that the infection stemmed from the infant's surgery.
In response to the 90-day notice, Sutter reaffirmed that its staff follows all standard precautions policies and protocols for infection control.
