Patient Safety Tool: Glucose Control to Reduce SSIs Toolkit

The Washington State Hospital Association Partnership for Patients offers a free toolkit on implementing glucose control for surgical patients to prevent surgical site infections.

The WSHA Partnership for Patients developed the "Glucose Control for Surgical Patients Toolkit" using resources from various health systems and organizations to help hospitals use glucose control to reduce SSIs. The toolkit includes a step-by-step implementation guide with links to various resources, such as a sample policies, procedures and order sets.
