The Infection Control Professionals of Southern New England provides a free, downloadable brochure on Clostridium Difficile infection.

The brochure includes information on patient and family education.

Designed in 2008, it addresses several questions including the following:

• What is Clostridium Difficile infection?
• What are the symptoms of C. difficile?
• Is there treatment for C. difficile disease?

It also provides steps to properly wash hands with soap and water.
