The CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network has announced new capabilities for long-term care infection reporting, healthcare worker influenza reporting and dialysis reporting, according to an Infection Control Today report.
According to the report, NHSN is now able to receive electronic reporting of dialysis events through a clinical document architecture file import to streamline data submission. In addition, NHSN has announced a healthcare-associated infections tracking tool for long-term care facilities, and acute-care hospitals may soon submit data on flu vaccination for healthcare employees.
