Troy, Mich.-based TruVista Surgery Center was the first facility to have zero deficiencies in its annual door inspection by Compliance One Group.
Four notes:
1. Compliance One Group's vice president of operations, Eric Kella, informed TruVista Surgery Center of the accomplishment in a letter later published on LinkedIn.
"After inspecting hundreds of facilities and tens-of-thousands of fire doors over the years, we finally have our first goose egg (0)," the letter said.
2. TruVista Surgery Center Executive Director Andrew Gwinnell thanked Compliance One for recognizing the achievement, redesigning the facility's life safety drawings and inspecting its doors. He said, "I'm very proud of our facility and all the team members that have a hand in creating and maintaining a safe environment."
3. The ASC also achieved zero deficiencies in its 2017 Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care survey, a 2019 state survey and a 2019 CMS survey, according to Mr. Gwinnell.
4. Compliance One is a consultant helping healthcare, education and corporate facilities improve life safety in their physical environments.
