The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses has announced June 13 as National Time Out Day.
National Time Out Day was initiated in 2004 by AORN as a way to improve safe practices in the operating room. It has been consistently supported by The Joint Commission, the World Health Organization and the Council on Surgical and Perioperative Safety.
